Born in North America’s whiskey distilleries. There, red oak casks blend their flavors with corn, wheat, rye and barley for 5 years. Later, these casks are sent to Venezuela, where they find themselves with sugarcane and a caramelization process, product of the toasting, which brings unique qualities to the wood.
The casks that Parra Drums works with for this edition date approximately from 1940, and have been macerating sugarcane alcohol for 12 years. After remaining unused for a long time, but under constant mineralization in a tropical weather, Parra Drums and the Pampero distillery got together in a unique project, where a new life is given to a material that had already been given up, and that afterward became a utilitarian jewel which reproduces its story through its sound.
